Mission and Values

Patient Handbook

Patient Guides are available at our hospital locations. These guides are designed to provide you with necessary information about routines, procedures and processes at the facility during your stay. If you have questions, we will be happy to answer them for you, or go to the Patient Rights page.

Visiting Hours

We understand that having loved ones by your side can help with your healing and care. To promote healing and safety and limit infection, some units may limit the number of visitors you can receive at one time. Two visitors are allowed for patients who have been admitted to the hospital, unless otherwise limited by department. By entering a CHI Saint Joseph Health facility, you are attesting that you have not been diagnosed, or been near someone, with COVID, or have any of the primary symptoms of COVID. Visitors are required to wear a mask throughout the hospital, including in patient rooms, and practice social distancing. Visiting hours vary by facility. Please confirm with your location.

Language Assistance

CHI Saint Joseph Health provides trained, qualified medical interpreters at no cost to patients and families in order to ensure effective communication for those who are Limited-English Proficient (LEP), Deaf/Hard of Hearing (HOH), or have other communication challenges.

We also are focused on providing resources and education that support the practice of culturally competent care within our organization to diverse patient populations.

We speak your language and can offer a variety of resources to meet language needs, including:

  • Face-to-face interpreters for many languages, including Spanish and American Sign Language
  • Over-the-phone interpreters for most spoken languages
  • Video-remote interpreting for American Sign Language

For questions about interpreter services at CHI Saint Joseph Health, please speak with your care provider, including your nurse, or email interpreter services.
