Saint Joseph East Heart Care is Central Kentucky's proven leader in cardiovascular care. We are home to an innovative new Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Noninvasive Cardiology Unit and the Women's Hospital, a facility that specializes in care for women. Our primary focus is the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with heart and vascular disease.

Our cardiologists provide expert care with many years of service to the Lexington and Eastern Kentucky communities. They perform all levels of coronary and peripheral vascular intervention using highly specialized device therapies.

In conjunction with the Women's Hospital, we also provide focused cardiac and vascular care for women. Women can positively impact their risk for heart disease given the right information. We give special consideration to identifying risk factors that are essential for earlier diagnosis and treatment of heart disease in women.

Michelle Morton, MD is the newest member of the Saint Joseph Heart Care team. Practicing out of her home base at the Women's Hospital, Dr. Morton's specialty is:

  • Preventive cardiac care
  • Congestive Heart Failure
  • Hyperlipidemia
  • Hypertension
