Opening in 2010 unlike any women’s facility in the state, The Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East is a state-of-the-art hospital dedicated exclusively to the health and well-being of women in central and eastern Kentucky. The 60,000-square-foot, three-floor facility features patient- and family-centered design and amenities, including a fathers-only lounge, a play area for siblings, and education center.
Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation has been awarded a $36,000 grant from WHAS Crusade for Children to enhance patient care within the neonatal intensive care unit and Birthing Center at the Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East.
Flaget Memorial Hospital Foundation, Saint Joseph Berea Foundation and Saint Joseph Mount Sterling Foundation have been granted a total of $26,778 from the Small Rural Hospital Improvement Program (SHIP).
