Dr. Alberto Zarak with CHI Saint Joseph Health - Center for Weight Loss Surgery

The importance of choosing a Center of Excellence for bariatric surgery is that it is a multidisciplinary approach. We have dietitians and X-ray physiologists that are specialized in obesity, as well as psychologists and PAs that the only thing that they do is treat patients with weight problems, and that guarantees that the outcomes are going to be the best possible.

One of the most rewarding things that we see as bariatric surgeons is when patients come in to the office and they tell us that the only regret that they have is not having done the surgery years back. And that shows you the success and how happy the patients become and how healthy they feel after these operations.
