Cardiac Rehabilitation

The goal of the Saint Joseph Mount Sterling Cardiac Rehabilitation program is to help patients recover after a heart attack or following heart surgery. Through medically supervised exercise, nutritional counseling, psychological support and education, patients can achieve a maximum level of independence and return to their normal activities.

Ask your physician if cardiac rehabilitation would be beneficial for you. Once prescribed by a physician, patients can schedule an intake assessment to be conducted by one of our professional staff.

Cardiac Rehabilitation Team

The cardiac rehabilitation team at Saint Joseph Mount Sterling includes physicians, nurses, exercise physiologists, physical and occupational therapists, dieticians and behavioral therapists. The team works with patients to help them reach their nutritional, physical and psychological goals, resulting in faster recovery and reducing the likelihood of future heart problems.

Cardiac Rehabilitation Classes

Education and psychological support help to improve outcomes after a heart attack or following heart surgery. Cardiovascular Services at Saint Joseph Mount Sterling offers one-hour cardiac rehab classes:

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wellness Program

For patients who do not qualify for cardiac rehabilitation, Cardiovascular Services at Saint Joseph Mount Sterling offers an affordable aftercare alternative. Our Wellness Program is available:

Monday - Friday
7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
