Walk With a Doc Program to Focus on Health Benefits of Walking
Popular monthly health program open to the public

London, Ky. (June 7, 2016)— It’s time to lace up your walking shoes for some fresh air, fun and fitness with Saint Joseph London, part of KentuckyOne Health. Ashu Joshi, MD, will be the featured physician at the upcoming Walk With a Doc event on Thursday, June 16 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Dr. Joshi, KentuckyOne Health Primary Care Associates, will discuss the health benefits of walking.
The program will take place at the Lake Walking Path at Saint Joseph London. Last year, the walks took place on Saturday mornings, but are now regularly offered on Thursdays.
Each month, Walk With a Doc events feature a different physician and focus on a particular health topic. Participants can engage in a heart-healthy walk while having the chance to ask the health professional medical questions in a comfortable, casual setting.
The walk series is part of a nationwide program that inspires people to improve their health through physical activity while exercising side-by-side with health care providers. Walkers have the opportunity to expand their knowledge on important health topics.
The next walk Saint Joseph London Walk with a Doc event is scheduled for Thursday, July 21. For more information about the Walk With a Doc program, visit
