Walk With a Doc Program Adds Saint Joseph Berea Location for 2016
The monthly walk will take place at Berea City Park

Berea, Ky. (June 15, 2016)— Take the time to stay fit and have fun in the great outdoors, while having your health questions answered by a real, live healthcare provider. Saint Joseph Berea, part of KentuckyOne Health, is launching a free Walk With a Doc program in Berea. 
 
June 30 will mark the inaugural walk at Berea City Park. Derrick Williams, DO, KentuckyOne Health Primary Care Associates, will lead the walk at the nature trail, while discussing summer safety tips and answering general health related questions.  The Saint Joseph Berea team will also be on hand for the walk.
 
Participants will be able to meet regularly for Walk With a Doc on the last Thursday of each month. The walk will begin at 6 p.m. and no registration is necessary. Participants should meet near the basketball courts.
 
Each month, Walk With a Doc events feature a different physician and focus on a particular health topic. Participants can engage in a heart-healthy walk while having the chance to ask the health professional their medical questions in a comfortable, casual setting.
 
The walk series is part of a nationwide program that inspires people to improve their health through physical activity while exercising side-by-side with health care providers. Walkers have the opportunity to expand their knowledge on important health topics and receive free health screenings, refreshments and giveaways.
 
Other Berea Walk With a Doc dates include July 28, August 25, September 29 and October 27.
