Saint Joseph Mount Sterling to Host Maternity Fair on April 18

Mt. Sterling, Ky. (March 18, 2015) – There can be a lot to juggle as an expectant mother, and it can be an intimidating time for some. Saint Joseph Mount Sterling, part of KentuckyOne Health, is hoping to ease the nerves of moms-to-be with information and education at the hospital’s first Maternity Fair.

The fair is set for Saturday, April 18 from 9 a.m. to noon at Saint Joseph Mount Sterling.

Local area vendors will be stationed outside near the front entrance of the hospital located at 225 Falcon Drive. Saint Joseph Mount Sterling staff will offer tours of the Women’s Care department.

“Welcoming new life into the world is a special time for new parents,” said Benny Nolen, president, Saint Joseph Mount Sterling. “It’s our hope that this event will help expectant families prepare, know what to expect and understand the resources available during the birth of a child. We invite everyone to come and learn more about obstetrics and gynecology and pediatric services in our community.”

Area merchants will provide a number of raffle prizes for expectant mothers. Safety seat checks and guidance will also be available from the Montgomery County EMS.

The event will include physician meet and greet sessions, facility tours, refreshments and more. It will also showcase the hospital’s obstetrical efforts and feature how Saint Joseph Mount Sterling cares for each woman from planning for pregnancy through childbirth and after delivery.

The compassionate staff of doctors and nurses at Saint Joseph Mount Sterling believes all life is precious and each child is special.

Advanced registration is encouraged. Registration is available online beginning March 23, 2015 at www.KentuckyOneHealth.org/sjmsmaternityfair. For more information about the event, call 859.497.5460.
