Saint Joseph Berea Hosts “Get Healthy Berea” Community Health Fair
Proceeds from the health fair will benefit the Patient and Family Assistance Fund

Berea, Ky. (August 18, 2016) – It’s time to get healthy, Berea! Saint Joseph Berea, part of KentuckyOne Health, in partnership with the Saint Joseph Berea Foundation, will present the Get Healthy Berea community health fair on Saturday, September 17 from 9 a.m. to noon, at Saint Joseph Berea, located at 305 Estill Street in Berea. Save the date for this great event, which will benefit the Patient and Family Assistance Fund.

“Get Healthy Berea is a great opportunity for the community to join together, have some fun, and learn more about living a healthy lifestyle,” said Leslie Buddeke Smart, vice president of development, KentuckyOne Health. “We are excited to raise funds for the Patient and Family Assistance Fund of the Saint Joseph Berea Foundation through this event, which will help provide necessities to patients and their families during extended hospital stays.”

Get Healthy Berea will offer free health screenings, demonstrations, music and activities for the whole family. All activities will take place on Saint Joseph Berea’s campus.

The event will also feature the Corporate Challenge; a competition among local businesses and organizations. This event will test not only athletic ability, but skill, intellect and persistence, as well. Teams of four people will compete in games like a squirt gun car race, penny drop and rubber band can shoot. The Corporate Challenge begins at 10 a.m. Participation costs $250 per team. To register, visit www.KentuckyOneHealth.org/gethealthyberea.
