Saint Joseph Berea Announces 2nd Annual Gala for Healing and Hope

Berea, Ky. (February 4, 2015)— The Saint Joseph Berea Foundation, part of KentuckyOne Health, will host the second annual Gala for Healing and Hope on February 28, 2015 at the Historic Boone Tavern in Berea. Proceeds from the event benefit fund innovative programs and projects that enrich the health of patients at Saint Joseph Berea, their families and the community.

Last year’s Gala for Healing and Hope raised nearly $31,000 for the Saint Joseph Berea Foundation.  The funding was used to purchase the Lucas Chest Compression Device for the emergency department at Saint Joseph Berea. The device is designed to improve outcomes of sudden cardiac arrest victims by performing chest compressions for CPR while allowing staff to perform other lifesaving operations during an emergency.

“We are fortunate to have so many generous supporters who want to help us improve health in our community,” says Charles F. Hoffman, chair, Saint Joseph Berea Foundation Board of Directors. “We look forward to sharing with them inspiring patient stories and celebrating successes at this year’s gala.”

The event will include a reception beginning at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and entertainment by the Klassyc Tymes Band.

The mission of the Saint Joseph Berea Foundation is to enhance the health care services provided by Saint Joseph Berea by raising and allocating funds for innovative programs and projects that enrich the health of patients, families and the community.
