Makeover and Photo Session to Help Empower

Local Cancer Patients

James Graham Brown Cancer Center holding event on Thursday, May 11

More than a dozen cancer patients at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center, part of KentuckyOne Health, will receive a makeover during an upcoming photo session entitled “The Faces Above Cancer,” which aims to empower cancer patients and spread awareness about the disease.

Many patients battling cancer often lose their hair or experience additional cosmetic changes as a result of treatment when fighting the disease. During this photo session, held in the hospital’s Resource Center, approximately 20 participants will have their hair and makeup done by a stylist, be offered a seated massage, and take part in a photo session to express their journey with cancer.
