KentuckyOne Heart and Vascular Care to Host Heart Rhythm Care Day
Event features free EKG tests to help detect cardiovascular disease

KentuckyOne Heart and Vascular Care, a service of KentuckyOne Health, will host Heart Rhythm Care Day on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016. The event will feature free EKG screenings for participants, which help detect cardiovascular disease. The screenings check for electrical problems in the heart, such as heart arrhythmias and irregular heartbeats. Results from the screenings will be sent to the patients’ primary care physicians, free of charge.

These screening are important to detect the early signs of heart disease, which the American Heart Association reports is the leading cause of death in the United States, claiming more than 375,000 lives each year.
