KentuckyOne Health Primary Care Associates Adds Two Nurse Practitioners

Bardstown, Ky. (October 28, 2015)—Polly Fenwick, APRN and Sherri Newton, APRN, have joined KentuckyOne Health Primary Care Associates located at 110 S. Salem Drive in Bardstown.

Fenwick has 34 years of nursing experience, including 10 years as a nurse practitioner. She received both her Bachelor of Science in nursing and Master of Science in nursing degrees from Spalding University in Louisville.
 
Most recently, Fenwick has worked as a primary care provider in Bardstown collaborating with physicians in assessing and treating both acute and chronic health conditions. Prior to that, she worked with a team of physicians and nurse practitioners at the University of Louisville to provide medical care to nursing homes and home-bound clients. In that role, she also participated in nursing facility resident care meetings, quality assurance, palliative care and behavioral drug-management reviews. She is a member of the Kentucky Coalition Nurse Practitioners/Nurse Midwives, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and American Nurses Association.  Fenwick is also board certified by American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Newton has 11 years of nursing experience. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Mountain State University and earned a Master of Science degree in nursing and a family nurse practitioner post-master’s certificate from Spalding University. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, National League of Nursing and the Kentucky Boards of Nursing and Nurse Practitioners.
 
Newton most recently worked as family nurse practitioner in the Bardstown area for multiple organizations, including the Sisters of Loretto and the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. Past nursing experience also includes work as a registered nurse in the mother baby unity, labor and delivery and cardiovascular critical care step-down unit.

Newton also brings teaching experience as an adjunct lecturer at Spalding University and didactic lecturer at ATA College and Galen College of Nursing.
