KentuckyOne Health Presents One-Day Sports Medicine Symposium
Paul Hornung and Karl Schmitt to Serve as Keynote Speakers

KentuckyOne Health will present the 2016 Sports Medicine Symposium on Saturday, Feb. 27 focused on the “overhead athlete” – athletes who use their hands in an overhead position, such as baseball, swimming and volleyball – and injuries and conditions commonly afflicting these athletes.
 
The one-day symposium will feature lectures from sports medicine physicians on topics such as injury prevention, biomechanics, training, surgical techniques, rehabilitation and sport-specific conditions.
 

Keynote speakers include Louisville’s own Paul Hornung, former Green Bay Packer and 1956 Heisman Trophy winner known as “The Golden Boy,” as well as Karl F. Schmitt, Jr., president and CEO of the Louisville Sports Commission.
