KentuckyOne Health CEO Honored Among Top Ten Most Admired CEOs in Health Care
Louisville, Ky. (Oct. 30, 2014) – Ruth Brinkley, president and CEO of KentuckyOne Health, was recently honored as one of the ten most admired CEOs in health care by Becker’s Hospital Review.
The list comes from a group of editorial directors assembled by Becker’s Hospital Review, an esteemed publication for health care information and analysis. Honorees are awarded based on their noteworthy accomplishments, passion and desire for positive change for patients and communities.
Brinkley is credited for the successful formation of the KentuckyOne Health system following the 2012 merger of the Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare and Saint Joseph Health System, with “her grit and resiliency as a leader most evident in her successful inclusion of the University of Louisville Hospital as an affiliate of KentuckyOne,” stated Tamara Rosin of Becker’s Hospital Review.
Brinkley is also admired for her vision which emphasizes increasing access to health care through technology (ex. telemedicine, Anywhere Care) for people all across the Commonwealth, particularly those living in remote or rural areas.
She has led KentuckyOne since January 2012 and also serves as senior vice president of operations at Catholic Health Initiatives.
