Get Tips for a Healthy 2016 at Saint Joseph London Bite Size Learning Event
Free health education event at Laurel County Public Library

London, Ky. (December 28, 2015)— Saint Joseph London, part of KentuckyOne Health, invites the community to start 2016 committed to being a healthier you! The hospital has teamed up with the Laurel County Public Library to continue its successful health education series, Bite Size Learning, in 2016.

The first event of the year is planned for Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Laurel County Public Library (120 College Park Drive in London). Jay Shah, MD, with KentuckyOne Health Orthopedic Associates in London, will be the featured guest. Dr. Shah will share tips, resolutions and activities to get your year off to a healthy start.

A native of Kentucky and graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Dr. Shah has fellowship training in orthopedic sports medicine. He has worked with elite athletes at both the college and professional level. His areas of interest include arthroscopic and open treatment of injuries affecting the knee, shoulder and ankle.

Bite Size Learning is a yearlong educational series sponsored by Saint Joseph London. Each month, a physician or staff member from Saint Joseph London hosts a special lunch-and-learn-style presentation on a different health topic to increase awareness and educate the public. Advance registration is requested. Saint Joseph London provides free box lunches to registered attendees.
