Flaget Memorial Hospital Honors Employees with Daisy and Rose Awards

Bardstown, Ky. (April 29, 2015)—Flaget Memorial Hospital, part of KentuckyOne Health, has named Daisy Award and Rose Award winners for the first quarter of 2015. Amanda Carey, RN, nursing administration, is the recipient of the Daisy Award. Heather Jackson, emergency department clerk, has received the Rose Award.

The Daisy Award is a nationwide program that celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by nurses everyday. KentuckyOne Health is proud to be a Daisy Award Partner, recognizing a nurse with this special honor every quarter.

Amanda Cary, RN, was nominated by her colleague Lisa Nix for outstanding service to the Flaget Memorial Hospital community by providing compassionate care to patients seen in the emergency department.

Similarly, The Rose Award is a program that honors Flaget Memorial’s non-nursing personnel.  The Rose Award - short for Recognition of Service Excellence - celebrates unsung heroes who work tirelessly to provide the best possible service.

Heather Jackson, emergency department unit clerk, was nominated by Leah Edelen, RN, for her work ethic, efficiency, professionalism and relationship with other employees.

The Daisy Award winner will receive a certificate, Daisy award pin and a hand carved stone sculpture. The Rose Award winner is honored with a certificate, Rose pin and a bouquet of roses to display in her department.
