Dr. Joseph Oropilla joins KentuckyOne Health Neurology Associates
Shepherdsville, KY (Oct. 8, 2014) – Joseph Oropilla, M.D., has joined KentuckyOne Health Neurology Associates. His main office will be at Medical Center Jewish South, which is located at 1905 West Hebron Lane, Suite 208, in Shepherdsville.
The neurologist received his bachelor of arts degree in biology from the University of Louisville; completed medical school at the University of the East in the Philippines; completed a residency in neurology at University of Louisville; and earned a fellowship in electrophysiology at U of L. He is board-certified in neurology.
After working for a neurologic group practice in Elizabethtown, Dr. Oropilla began 16 years of solo practice there, while starting satellite clinics in Greensburg, Bardstown, Columbia and Campbellsville.
During his career, the physician has diagnosed and treated patients with headaches, numbness, tingling and weakness, memory loss, dizziness, syncope, unsteadiness, tremor, sleep disorders, trigeminal neuralgia, Parkinson’s Disease,
epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, meningitis, encephalitis, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS. He has performed various diagnostic procedures, including EMGs, NCVs and EEGs.
Dr. Oropilla has also seen a significant number of Fort Knox soldiers and their family members. In addition to other disorders, he has dealt with traumatic brain injuries, seizures, and disability issues.
The physician is married to Socorro Bella-Oropilla, M.D. The couple has three children. All of them are in college, and all of them intend to become physicians.
