Bath Family Health Adds Nurse Practitioner

Mt. Sterling, Ky. (Nov. 25, 2015)— Missy Adams, APRN, has joined Bath Family Health, a department of Saint Joseph Mount Sterling, as a nurse practitioner. The practice is located at 44 Water Street in Owingsville.
 
Adams was most recently employed at St. Claire Regional Medical Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the Morehead Family Medicine Department and Family Medicine Express Clinic. There, she provided care to patients of all ages and specialized in acute and chronic issues. Prior to that, Adams worked in the Internal Medicine clinic at the center, where she cared for patients of all ages, and also performed extensive work in women’s health.
 
Adams worked as an RN Field Service Coordinator for WellCare Health Plans for several years, acting as the case manager for over 50 members in five counties. Prior to that, she also worked at Hazard Community College, Perry County Health Department, Mary Breckenridge Home Health Department, Hospice Extra Care and others. She is a member of the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives.
 
Adams received her Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner from Walden University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing. She is a graduate of Hazard High School.
