April Bite Size Learning Program Will “Go Red for Women”
Community members invited to participate in free heart health education event

London, Ky. (April, 14, 2015)— Saint Joseph London, part of KentuckyOne Health, and the Laurel County Public Library invite community members to a special “Go Red For Women” Bite Size Learning event this month.

Community members can learn about the benefits of being heart healthy at the Bite Size Learning program on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Laurel County Public Library. The event is part of the yearlong educational series sponsored by Saint Joseph London. Cristina Pauig, MD, with KentuckyOne Health Cardiology Associates in London, will share her expertise and tips for living a heart healthy life, while registered attendees enjoy a complimentary lunch.

To raise awareness of heart disease as the number one killer of women, the American Heart Association created Go Red For Women to empower women to take charge of their heart health.  Free health screenings will be offered from 11:30 to noon.

Bite Size Learning events usually occur on the third Wednesday of each month at the Laurel County Public Library, located at 120 College Park Drive in London.  Each month, a physician or staff member from Saint Joseph London hosts a special lunch-and-learn-style presentation on a different health topic to increase awareness and educate the public. Advance registration is requested. Saint Joseph London provides free box lunches to pre-registered attendees.

To learn more about the Bite Size Learning series and to register for a class, please contact the Laurel County Library at 606.864.5759.
