17th Annual Cancer Survivors Celebration to Honor Survivors and Salute Veterans
Event to take place before the Pegasus Parade
Cancer survivors, loved ones and caregivers will join together on May 4 to take part in the 17th Annual Cancer Survivors Celebration. The event, traditionally held on the Thursday before the Kentucky Derby, will include musical entertainment from The Saints, a tribute to survivors and a salute to veterans. Heather French Henry, former Miss America 2000 and nationally recognized veterans advocate, will emcee the event.
The event is sponsored by the James Graham Brown Cancer Center, a partnership of KentuckyOne Health and the University of Louisville, the Kentucky Cancer Program at UofL (KCP), and Texas Roadhouse. The Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s Foundation provided funding for this event.
