Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East Welcomes Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 15, 2024) – Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East welcomes Hannah Archer, MSN, FNP-C, APRN, to its esteemed team. With a previous tenure at the hospital from 2016 to 2021, Archer said she’s eager to return to the facility and serve Lexington-area women.

“I have always been passionate about preventive care, and when I was in school, I found my calling for nursing and women’s health,” said Archer. “Women are amazing, and there is a true need for the care of our women in our society. They often push their health to the back burner to prioritize the well-being of everyone around them. My focus is empowering women to care for themselves and advocate for their own health.”

As a wife and mother to three young kids, Archer knows firsthand how difficult it can be for women to make time for preventive appointments, but she wants patients to understand how critical these visits can be. “Annual visits are crucial to ensuring we’re preventing any future issues and stopping those in their tracks,” said Archer.

Archer’s patient care philosophy centers on the importance of patients feeling comfortable and understood. “As providers, we want that open dialogue,” said Archer. “We need to hear what patients are going through and feeling in order to care for them.”

A native of Frankfort, Archer pursued her Bachelor of Arts in biology from Asbury University. She then attended Azusa Pacific University in California to earn her Bachelor of Science in nursing and attended Indiana Wesleyan University for her Master of Science in nursing. When Archer started her career in 2016, she served as a postpartum nurse at Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East, and for the past couple of years, she has been seeing a range of patients as a family nurse practitioner. With this new chapter, Archer said she’s thrilled to focus on women’s care.

“I’m very excited about returning to Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East and helping serve Lexington’s female community members,” said Archer.

When she’s not seeing her patients, Archer enjoys spending time with her family, trying new restaurants, reading and traveling around the world.

Archer is practicing at Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East in Lexington, located at 170 North Eagle Creek Drive. To schedule an appointment, call 859.967.2273.
