Saint Joseph London Recognizes Outstanding Medical Staff and Leaders With Awards

LONDON, Ky. (May 13, 2024) – Saint Joseph London has announced its 2024 Physician of the Year, Advanced Practice Provider (APP) of the Year, Employee of the Year, and Leader of the Year award recipients. They will be recognized during the CHI Saint Joseph Health Foundations’ Humankindness Gala on Saturday, May 18. This year’s recipients are:

  • Physician of the Year – Abdul Siddiqui, MD, London

  • APP of the Year – Angel Patterson, PA-C, London

  • Employee of the Year – Loretta Philpot, pharmacy tech, London

  • Leader of the Year – Joshua Holland, RN, nursing manager, ER, London

 

Each year, Saint Joseph London recognizes an outstanding Physician of the Year and APP of the Year who help build healthier communities and exhibit CHI Saint Joseph Health’s core values of compassion, inclusion, integrity, excellence, and collaboration. Dr. Abdul Siddiqui was nominated for Physician of the Year by his colleagues.

“Dr. Siddiqui is always professional and never hectic in a stressful situation,” his nominator said.  

The 2024 APP of the Year is Angel Patterson.  

“Angel demonstrates the core values of the ministry on a daily basis. She strives for excellence in all she does, both at the office and when she rounds at the hospital. She shows great compassion for her patients and their family members. She treats her coworkers with kindness and respect as well. She is a true asset to CHI Saint Joseph Health,” said her nominator.

Saint Joseph London also recognizes an Employee of the Year and Leader of the Year who go above and beyond their duties and demonstrate the health care system’s core values.

Saint Joseph London’s 2024 Employee of the Year is Loretta Philpot.

“Loretta demonstrates compassion by always going out of her way to ensure things are done correctly and timely for pharmacy processes such as bringing meds to the floor and ensuring the nurses have the correct scheduled times on their IV antibiotics. She truly cares that things are done correctly for her patients and that staff can easily interpret pharmacy instructions on medications. Loretta demonstrates integrity by owning what needs to be fixed and taking the initiative to help others.”

Joshua Holland has been named the 2024 Leader of the Year, recognized for his outstanding leadership in a managerial position.

“Josh goes above and beyond every day to ensure his staff is adequately staffed and morale and integrity are high. Josh is professional yet compassionate. He has worked so hard and continues striving to be his best every day, all while juggling full-time nurse practitioner school,” said his nominator.

  • Continuing Care Hospital - Ghassan Shakhashiro, MD, Physician of the Year, Lexington; Emily White, Employee of the Year, Winchester; Dawn Erb, Leader of the Year, Lexington

  • Flaget Memorial Hospital - Olivia Kelley, MD, Physician of the Year, Bloomfield; Janette Yingling, APP of the Year, Lexington; Barbara Hunter, Employee of the Year, Bloomfield; Brooke Dadisman, Leader of the Year, Bardstown

  • Saint Joseph East - Dr. Kevin Donohue, Physician of the Year, Lexington; Heather Smith, APP of the Year, Lexington; Kathy Williams, Employee of the Year, Lexington; Jason (Jay) Elery, Leader of the Year, Lexington

  • Saint Joseph Hospital - Korey Brammell, DO, Physician of the Year, Huntington, W.Va.; Michael Farran, APP of the Year, Lexington; Dee Thompson, Employee of the Year, Lexington; Rachel Kennedy, Leader of the Year, Frankfort

  • Saint Joseph Jessamine - Erica Houp, Employee of the Year, Nicholasville; Patsy Harlow, Leader of the Year, Versailles

Award winners were previously recognized at a local celebration.
