London, Ky. (May 5, 2014)— Saint Joseph London, part of KentuckyOne Health, has been awarded the Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award for 2014.
The award recognizes hospitals that score in the top 15 percent on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) patient experience survey. Saint Joseph London is one of 447 hospitals in the nation to receive the distinction and one of just 10 in Kentucky. Nearly 4,000 hospitals across the country participate in the HCAHPS survey.

Hospitals are evaluated on 10 topics on the HCAHPS including: overall satisfaction, willingness to recommend to family/friends, communication with doctors, communication with nurses, responsiveness of hospital staff, pain management, communication regarding medications, discharge instructions, cleanliness of rooms and bathrooms and quietness.
