Welcome, Baby! Saint Joseph London Announces First Birth of 2024

LONDON, Ky. (Jan. 4, 2024) – At 9:33 a.m. on January 1, Saint Joseph London delivered its first baby of 2024. Tressie Smith and Rodney Smith from Booneville welcomed Maggie Ann Smith. She weighed 8 lbs. 3 oz. and was 19 inches long.

This year, the Saint Joseph London Foundation presented the parents with several gifts, including books, toys and necessities.

“Welcoming the first bundle of joy born at our hospital in 2024 is such a blessing,” said Aretha Roberts, manager, obstetrics, Saint Joseph London. “We take pride in being a trusted source for countless parents welcoming their new additions, and we extend a huge congratulations to this family as they embark on their new journey.” 

In 2023, Saint Joseph London welcomed 899 babies.
