Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation Announces Eighth Annual Yes, Mamm! Yes, Cerv! 5K

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 18, 2023) – The Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation’s annual Yes, Mamm! Yes, Cerv! 5K is back for its eighth year, bringing together and celebrating local cancer survivors and raising money to support local cancer patients. The race will be held in Nicholasville on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 9 a.m., at the RJ Corman Railroad Group racecourse at 101 R.J. Corman Drive.

The Yes, Mamm! Yes, Cerv! 5K, presented by RJ Corman Railroad Group, is open to runners of all ages. Proceeds from the race provide free mammography and cervical cancer screenings, diagnostic testing, and program support to underinsured and uninsured patients across Kentucky. Every dollar raised will support Yes, Mamm! Yes, Cerv! programs statewide.

“Each October for the past eight years, this race is an emotional journey to the finish line to celebrate the courage of breast and cervical cancer survivors, empower those in their fight and honor the individuals we have lost,” said Delaine Thiel, vice president of philanthropy, Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation. “Thanks to the support of our community, this race helps us support patients fighting breast and cervical cancers.”

The race begins promptly at 9 a.m. – rain or shine. Registration for the Yes, Mamm! Yes, Cerv! 5K includes a commemorative T-shirt, race bib and race medal. Participants are encouraged to use the hashtag #CHIYesMammYesCerv on social media on race day.

Early bird registration for the Yes, Mamm! Yes, Cerv! 5K is $25 plus online fees until July 31 at midnight, when registration increases to $30. Participants can register for the event until 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14. Registration closes at midnight on Oct. 11.  To learn more, click here
