KentuckyOne Health to Provide Lung Cancer Information at Lexington Legends Game

 

WHAT:          KentuckyOne Health staff will be at the Lexington Legends game offering information about lung cancer.  

 

WHEN:          Thursday, July 3, 2014
                  6 p.m.

 

WHERE:       Whitaker Bank Ballpark
                   207 Legends Lane
                   Outside the Tap Room

 

DETAILS:

  • KentuckyOne Health professionals will educate about lung cancer risk factors and the importance of getting screened
  • Game attendees will be able to talk to KentuckyOne Health professionals about lung cancer screening options.

 

MORE:          Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States and Kentucky leads the nation in both incidence of lung cancer and deaths from the disease. Lung cancer screenings can be done through a minimally invasive low-dose computed tomography (LDCT or low-dose CT), which can detect cancer early and help lower the mortality rate significantly.
