KentuckyOne Health CEO recognized among Becker’s Hospital Review’s “130 Women Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know” - Archived

Louisville, Ky. (November 13, 2013)—Ruth W. Brinkley, chief executive officer of KentuckyOne Health, was recognized among "130 Women Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know" by Becker’s Hospital Review. 

The annual list recognizes women who demonstrate outstanding leadership within the hospital and healthcare industry.  Honorees were chosen based on a wide range of management and leadership skills, including oversight of hospital or health system operations, financial turnarounds and quality improvement initiatives.

 

Brinkley has been CEO of KentuckyOne Health since January 2012 when it was formed from the merger of Jewish Hospital & St. Mary's HealthCare in Louisville and Saint

Joseph Health System in Lexington, Ky. In late 2012, the organization formed a partnership with the University of Louisville Hospital and James Graham Brown Cancer Center.  

 

A native of Georgia, Brinkley has nearly 40 years of health care experience working in private and public healthcare organizations including academic and community-based hospital systems.  She also has a long history of community involvement.
