Flaget Cancer Center to Honor Survivors
During Celebration of Life Picnic
Event on Sunday, September 16, on Flaget Cancer Center Lawn

Bardstown, Ky. (August 22, 2018) – Flaget Memorial Hospital’s Cancer Center will honor local cancer survivors and their families during a Celebration of Life picnic in September. The event will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, on the Flaget Cancer Center Lawn, located at 4359 New Shepherdsville Road in Bardstown. Cancer Center physicians and staff members will be on hand to celebrate with survivors and community members during the free event.

The Celebration of Life picnic is open to all cancer survivors. A picnic lunch will be provided, and guests can enjoy a photo booth, music, and additional activities for families and children. Survivors can also participate in an art project to commemorate the special day.

“We want to celebrate those who have survived cancer, and provide them with a special day dedicated to all survivors,” said Monte Martin, MD, medical oncologist, Flaget Cancer Center. “We look forward to a fun-filled day celebrating our local survivors and their families.”
