Fall into health through Walking With a Doc

Bardstown, Ky. (October 3, 2014) — Enjoy the cooler weather and changing scenery at this month’s Walk With a Doc Event from Flaget Memorial Hospital, part of KentuckyOne Health. This month’s walk will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 10 a.m.

Flaget Memorial Hospital hosts Walk With a Doc events on the second Saturday of each month. It’s part of a nationwide program that empowers people to improve their health through physical activity by exercising side-by-side with their health care providers.

The event will take place at the Old Courthouse Building downtown (One Court Square) and will be lead by a local physician.

With the changing seasons and cooler weather, walking is an excellent way to increase the heart rate and prevent and manage diseases and health problems like diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and more.

Walking is also a wonderful social activity to engage in with friends and family. Participation is free and community groups and individuals are invited. For more information on Walk With a Doc events in Bardstown, call 502.350.5040.
