BARDSTOWN, Ky. (July 22, 2020) – Tyler Holley, MD, has joined CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group – General Surgery, in Bardstown. Dr. Holley eagerly moved to Bardstown for his new position, and says that the small town is the perfect fit for him and his family.
“It was a no brainer as soon as I stepped foot in the facility,” said Dr. Holley. “You could tell everyone at Flaget Memorial Hospital wanted to be there. They love that hospital. They love the community, and they love the patients they are serving. From the person sweeping the floor to the CEO, it was a wonderful welcome all around and a beautiful community.”
Dr. Holley says he enjoys general surgery because it gives him the opportunity to do a little bit of everything. He is looking forward to working at a smaller hospital where he will be able to serve many different needs for patients, rather than them having to see multiple specialists.
A different route than most physicians, Dr. Holley earned his Bachelor of Science in Biosystems Engineering at the University of Kentucky. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he attended the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, graduating with High Distinction. He recently completed his residency from Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati and previously served as an anesthesia technician at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
A native of Pikeville, Dr. Holley has three children. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending his free time with his wife and children, fishing, and playing guitar and piano.
“I always knew I wanted to come back to Kentucky to practice medicine,” said Dr. Holley. “I’m extremely excited to move to Bardstown and begin serving my community.”
Dr. Holley is accepting new patients. His office is located at 4371 New Shepherdsville Road, Suite 100 in Bardstown. To make an appointment with Dr. Holley, visit www.CHISaintJosephHealth.org or call 502-350-5492.
