CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group – Orthopedics Welcomes New Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

LONDON, Ky. (Jan. 24, 2024) – CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group welcomes Shae’lee Turner, an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), as the newest member of its orthopedics team. Turner brings with her a wealth of experience and a compassionate approach to patient care, further enhancing the team’s commitment to excellence.

A London native, Turner has been involved in the medical community for 12 years. Her journey in health care began with a desire to serve as a caregiver, aiding those in need. Now, as an APRN, she is driven to “provide more in-depth care for patients besides just the bedside level.”

“I wanted to advance my career and be able to give the best care possible for my patients,” said Turner. “This motivated me to pursue my APRN, aiming to dedicate my best effort and expertise to the individuals I serve daily. My goal is to consistently provide the highest standard of care, making a meaningful impact in their lives.”

In 2008, Turner received her Bachelor of Science in kinesiology exercise science at the University of Kentucky. She obtained her associate degree in nursing in 2010 at Midway College, followed by a Bachelor of Science in nursing at Chamberlain College of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio, in 2016. Most recently, Turner received her Master of Science in nursing, specializing as a family nurse practitioner, from the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg in 2020.

Turner’s philosophy is rooted in treating patients how she would want to be treated and delivering the care she would like for her family. Specializing in orthopedic care, she integrates her lifelong passion for sports into her professional expertise. Turner says this connection between her love for athletics and her commitment to helping others has been a driving force throughout her career.

“Sports have been an integral part of my whole life,” said Turner. “Being able to tie my passion for athletics and helping people together has been a wonderful and fulfilling opportunity.”

When she is not working, Turner, along with her husband and their 10-year-old twins, enjoy tailgating and supporting the University of Kentucky basketball and football teams.

Turner is practicing at CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group – Orthopedics in London, located at 1025 Saint Joseph Lane. To schedule an appointment, call (606) 864-2226.
