CHI Saint Joseph Health Recognizes Outstanding Medical Staff and Leaders With Awards

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 13, 2024)Saint Joseph Hospital, Saint Joseph East and Saint Joseph Jessamine have announced its 2024 Physician of the Year, Advanced Practice Provider (APP) of the Year, Employee of the Year and Leader of the Year award recipients for Saint Joseph East, Saint Joseph Hospital, Continuing Care Hospital, and Saint Joseph Jessamine. They will be recognized during the CHI Saint Joseph Health Foundations’ Humankindness Gala on Saturday, May 18. This year’s recipients are:

Saint Joseph East

  • Physician of the Year – Kevin Donohue, MD, Lexington
  • APP of the Year – Heather Smith, Lexington
  • Employee of the Year – Kathy Williams, Lexington
  • Leader of the Year – Jason (Jay) Elery, Lexington

 

Saint Joseph Hospital

  • Physician of the Year – Korey Brammell, DO, Huntington, W.Va.
  • APP of the Year – Michael Farran, PA-C, Lexington
  • Employee of the Year – Dee Thompson, patient care assistant, Lexington
  • Leader of the Year – Rachel Kennedy, market director, patient flow, Frankfort

 

Continuing Care Hospital

  • Physician of the Year – Ghassan Shakhashiro, MD, Lexington
  • Employee of the Year – Emily White, RN, clinical care coordinator, Winchester\
  • Leader of the Year – Dawn Erb, RN, nursing supervisor, Lexington

 

Saint Joseph Jessamine

  • Employee of the Year – Erica Houp, CT tech, Nicholasville
  • Leader of the Year – Patsy Harlow, lab services supervisor, Versailles

About Saint Joseph Jessamine

Saint Joseph Jessamine is located in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Established in 2009, the Saint Joseph Jessamine RJ Corman Ambulatory Care Center serves residents of Jessamine, Boyle, Fayette and Garrard counties. The facility is Jessamine County’s first and only full-service, 24/7 emergency room, and also offers primary care and a full range of services.
