Surgery

For various types of cancer, surgery is the optimal treatment. Whenever possible, CHI Saint Joseph Health surgeons use the da Vinci® Robotic surgical system—which requires just a few small incisions and provides enhanced vision, precision and control. For patients, this minimally invasive technology often offers a variety of benefits, including less pain, fewer complications and faster recovery.

Radiation Therapy

More than 50 percent of all cancer patients will require radiation therapy during their treatment programs. We offer some of the most advanced technology today—including image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) and RapidArc radiotherapy—all which deliver highly powerful and precise radiation to the tumor, while preserving surrounding healthy tissue.

Infusion Therapy

CHI Saint Joseph Health offers infusion therapies at convenient outpatient infusion centers. In addition to chemotherapy, newer options include immunotherapy, which trains the body’s immune system to fight and kill cancer.

Clinical Trials

We offer cancer clinical trials through our parent organization Catholic Health Initiatives and their National Institute for Research and Innovation.  These studies give you or your loved ones direct access to new cancer therapies, devices and medications before they are widely available. Search all open clinical trials.
