Bonnie Gaunce, PT

Bonnie is the Rehabilitation/Industrial Manager for St. Joseph East.  She graduated from the University of KY in 1977 with a Bachelor of Health Sciences Degree.  She has 37 years of experience as a physical therapist and has been with St. Joseph East for 14 years. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is certified in NDT (neurodevelopmental training).  Her areas of expertise include:  industrial rehabilitation, ergonomics, development of functional job descriptions, analysis of equipment design, post-offer job testing, on-site injury prevention/consultation, functional capacity evaluations, and work conditioning.  Bonnie has also worked with companies to set up a therapy clinic in their plant to evaluated employees when developing musculoskeletal symptoms and recommend stretches/exercises before an injury can occur.

Marlene Roth-Lubeck, PT

Marlene graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physical Therapy in 1992.  Marlene has been with St. Joseph East for 16 years.  She is Klose Lymphedema certified and she is a STAR certified clinician.  Marlene enjoys treating a wide variety of diagnoses in her practice.

Stephanie Sizemore Turner, PT, DPT 

Stephanie graduated from the University of KY Physical Therapy Program in 1999 with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy.   In 2009, she obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of KY.  She has 15 years of experience and has been with St. Joseph East for 9 years.  She is certified in LSVT-BIG therapy, ASTYM, and she is a STAR certified clinician. Her primary focus is treating orthopedic and neurological injuries. Stephanie has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Kentucky Physical Therapy Association since 1997 and is a certified APTA clinical instructor.  She is also the CCCE (Clinical Coordinator of Clinical Education) for physical therapy students.

Candace Alexander, PT, DPT

Candace graduated from the University of Kentucky with a doctorate in physical therapy in 2011. In addition to performing outpatient physical therapy for St. Joseph East, she also works in St Joseph’s physical therapy clinic in the Lexmark Health and Wellness Center. Candace is ASTYM certified, STAR certified and Klose  Lymphedema Therapy certified.   Her treatment focus is on orthopedic conditions, lymphedema and wounds.   She has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Kentucky Physical Therapy Association since 2009.

Jean Ligon, PT

Jean graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1980 with a Bachelor of Health Science Degree.  She has 24 years of experience and has worked in acute care, home health, acute rehabilitation, skilled care and outpatient settings.  Jean’s areas of interest include therapeutic yoga and pelvic floor physical therapy.

Emily Ray, PT

Emily graduated from the University of KY with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2005.  Emily has worked at St. Joseph East for 9 years.  Her areas of interest include wound care and working with pediatric patients less than one year of age.

Kristin Ernst MS, CCC-SLP

Kristin earned a Master of Arts degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy and a Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences at Southern Illinois University.  Kristin has been a practicing Speech Language Pathologist for the past 18 years.   Kristin is a member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association and has earned multiple ACE awards for continuing education.  Her career focus has been on evaluation and treatment of adult voice and swallowing disorders, having worked in long-term care facilities, sub-acute and acute rehabilitation facilities, home health and in acute care hospitals.  Kristin is certified in the use of electrical stimulation for the treatment of swallowing as well as being a certified clinician in the Lee Silverman Voice Therapy model.  Kristin enjoys working with patients and their families and also with teaching and training speech graduate student clinicians.  

Kellie Lozano, MS, CCC-SLP

Kellie graduated from the University of KY in 2012 with a Masters in Communication Disorders.  Kellie treats both adult and pediatric clients.  Her areas of interest include:  pediatric articulation and language disorders, early language development, autism, adult cognitive communication disorders, and aphasia.

Laura R. Barnhart, OTR/L, CIMI-2, CIIT

Laura graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy.  Laura is a level 2 Certified Infant Massage Instructor and a Certified Trainer of Infant Massage.  Laura provides occupational therapy services for inpatients and outpatients.  Her areas of interest include:  autism, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, CVA, and post-op hand injuries.
