Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation to Celebrate Opening of
New Outpatient Lactation Clinic

The Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East, part of KentuckyOne Health, has expanded its services to include an outpatient lactation clinic, named the Vicki Stephens & Beth Broderson-Bray Lactation Room. The program was funded by donors to the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation, also part of KentuckyOne Health.

Research has consistently shown that there are many health benefits to breastfeeding – benefits for both the mother and the baby. The outpatient lactation clinic will provide breastfeeding mothers opportunity to schedule a follow-up appointment to work with a Certified Lactation Consultant. During this appointment, mother and baby receive support and work toward resolving any breastfeeding issues.
