Saint Joseph Berea Honors Employee with BEE Award

BEREA, Ky. (Feb. 11, 2021) – Saint Joseph Berea has named its BEE Award winner for the second quarter of 2021. Jessica Grant, medication reconciliation technician, of Berea, received the BEE Award for exceptional service.

The BEE Award is a nationwide program that honors nursing support staff – patient care assistants, housekeepers, respiratory therapists, health unit coordinators, dietary, transporters and various other team members – who go above and beyond in service, care and compassion. The BEE Award celebrates unsung heroes who make an impact outside their daily duties and go above and Beyond Exceptional Expectations (BEE). In the second quarter, Grant was nominated for the BEE Award by a patient.

“Jessica has gone out of her way and beyond her job duties to care for me,” said one of Grant’s patients. “She is willing to go for walks with me when I ask and also when I don’t ask. This proves her true love, care and compassion for both the physical and mental needs of others. Jessica has been a huge help during my time of simply needing a break from my four walls.”

Prior to transitioning into her current role as a medication reconciliation technician for Saint Joseph Berea’s pharmacy, Grant worked for eight years as a Medical-Surgical unit coordinator for the facility.

Grant was honored with a certificate and a BEE Award pin.
