Gastroenterologist Joins Staff at Saint Joseph Mount Sterling - Archived

 

Mount Sterling, Ky. (February 4, 2014)—Saint Joseph Mount Sterling, part of KentuckyOne Health, is pleased to announce the addition of Matthew S. Miller, M.D., gastroenterologist, to the hospital’s medical staff.

 

Dr. Miller treats gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary (liver, pancreas and biliary tree) issues. He also performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, colonoscopy. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), a procedure used to identify stones, tumors or narrowing in the bile ducts.

 

A board certified gastroenterologist, Dr. Miller is a graduate of the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University.  He completed his internal medicine internship training at Wright State University affiliated hospitals in Dayton, Ohio and residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.  He completed a gastroenterology fellowship at the Labey-Hitchcock Clinic in Burlington, Mass.

 

Dr. Miller began his practice at Saint Joseph Mount Sterling on January 14, 2014.  He most recently practiced in Lexington. Prior to his time in Lexington, he practiced in Morehead, Kentucky for nearly 12 years.

 

Dr. Miller is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology as well as the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, among others.
