Dr. Abdul Hasan Siddiqui Joins CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group in London

LONDON, Ky. (Oct. 7, 2021) – Abdul Hasan Siddiqui, MD, FACP, has joined CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group – Pulmonology in London as a pulmonologist. With a passion for pulmonology and critical care with experience in major cities across the nation, Dr. Siddiqui is excited to live and serve in the London community.

“My father named me after a famous physician, so I knew from the beginning that I was born to be a doctor,” said Dr. Siddiqui. “Nothing appealed to me more than medicine. It was my calling.”

Armed with the motivation to achieve his childhood dream, Dr. Siddiqui earned his medical degree in his home country of Hyderabad, India, at Gandhi Medical College. In 2013, he journeyed to the United States and landed in New York for his residency and fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital. Dr. Siddiqui has gained experience serving patients across the nation, helping to make strides in the development of pulmonology treatment in San Antonio, Texas; New Orleans, Louisiana; Staten Island, New York; and Champaign and Urbana, Illinois.

Dr. Siddqui is board certified in critical care medicine, pulmonary disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.

With Kentucky ranking as one of the top tobacco-smoking states in the U.S., and amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Siddiqui sees a great need for more awareness of pulmonary health in the community. “As a pulmonologist, I would love to protect and support the respiratory system, so that my patients can breathe better. I believe that breathing is the essence of life, and it is what makes us living beings. I want my patients to breathe better not only while awake but also during sleep.”

Dr. Siddiqui’s philosophy of patient care is centered around a physician-patient partnership that “builds trust and understanding to sustain long-lasting relationships.” His dedication to establishing this relationship with each patient is due to his personal medical practice. “Most of the diseases I treat and manage as a pulmonologist are complex and debilitating, therefore not only am I honest and upfront, but I also empathize and support my patients every step of the way.”

When Dr. Siddiqui isn’t serving his community, he enjoys traveling, singing and socializing. “The world is full of amazing people, and I would like to meet and know as many as I can in this lifetime.” Dr. Siddiqui is married to a physician and together they have a 3-year-old son, who is “a daily reminder of all that is good in the world.”

“I find everyone so welcoming and honest in London that it feels like I am becoming a member of a great family,” said Dr. Siddiqui. “After living in big and crowded cities like New York and Chicago, living in the beautiful environment of London, Kentucky, feels like a breath of fresh air.”

Dr. Siddiqui is accepting new patients and practices at 1025 Saint Joseph Lane in London. To make an appointment, visit www.CHISaintJosephHealth.org or call 606.864.4040.
