Aromatherapy is the art of using essential oils extracted from plants to entice the senses.  Essential oils are thought to have a direct effect on the area of the brain that is connected to smell.  Aromatherapy is commonly used during massage to further enhance relaxation and a sense of wellbeing.  Aromatherapy is not only used in spas, however.  It can be an effective adjunct to traditional practices for a variety of health concerns.  Essential oils are gaining more and more recognition as people discover their numerous benefits.  Each essential oil comes with its own therapeutic benefits, such as relief from:
