Legacy Foundation of Kentuckiana
Every community. Healthier.
About the Foundation
We are a grantmaking organization dedicated to the physical, emotional and spiritual health of the communities we serve. The Foundation supports programs and services in six counties: Jefferson, Shelby, Bullitt, Hardin and Nelson in Kentucky, and Clark in Indiana. We seek to partner with organizations who will improve the health of people in these communities, especially those most vulnerable.
Our history is embedded in the former Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s Foundation in Louisville, Kentucky. While the Legacy Foundation of Kentuckiana will grow and adapt to meet the changing needs of our communities, we honor the generous donors and charitable vision of that original organization.
Mission and Vision
MISSION
We make the healing presence of God known in the world by improving the health of the people we serve, especially those who are vulnerable, while we advance social justice for all.
VISION
To become a national model for community health philanthropy.

2023-24 GRANTS
Currently, proposals for funding are accepted on an invitation-only basis. However, we will be seeking information on the needs and challenges of supporting healthy communities in our service area.
