In overwhelming times, it helps to focus attention on one small action. One item on your to-do list, one deep breath, one act of kindness, one gift of hope.
Cancer is overwhelming. And yet each of us can provide hope and healing to cancer patients who need it, one person at a time, through one gift of hope.
Kathy Combs was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2019. Thanks to treatment and support from CHI Saint Joseph Health – Cancer Care Center at Flaget Memorial Hospital, and her own positive mindset and her family, Kathy has been cancer-free since December 2020.
“I felt like I was in the best hands at Saint Joseph because everyone, from radiation to oncology, was caring and efficient,” Kathy said. “My nurse, Vicky, was with me every step of the way. I was blessed to have her.”
One medical appointment at a time, one collaborative conversation, one moment of hope and gratitude, one financial gift at a time—each of us can offer hope and healing.
