MORE:
The Bourbon & Bluegrass Holiday Bash is a sold out event that is the first of its kind, benefitting the mission of the Flaget Memorial Hospital Foundation. Proceeds from this event will advance cancer care services at the hospital. Event guests will enjoy specialty holiday cocktails, live Bluegrass music, bourbon tastings, Kentucky-inspired cuisine, and a live auction. Only 100 tickets were sold for this intimate holiday celebration, and they sold out quickly.

The event launches a new fundraising project of the Flaget Memorial Hospital Foundation to expand the Cancer Center and purchase 3D mammography equipment, making Flaget the first hospital in the Nelson County area to offer this high-tech breast cancer screening. The 3D mammography is an FDA-approved advanced technology that takes multiple images, or X-rays, of breast tissue to recreate a 3D picture of the breast. Using 3D mammography makes it easier for doctors to catch breast cancer early. It also helps catch more cancers, and it reduces the chances of doctors seeing a false positive.

The Cancer Center at Flaget has grown at a phenomenal rate, and there is now a need for additional infusion rooms. This will allow patients to have a reduced waiting period for their cancer treatments.
