“We are proud to help our dedicated and hard-working employees continue their education in the medical field with these scholarships, made possible by the Bruce Klockars Education Fund,” said Leslie Smart, CFRE, President, Flaget Memorial Hospital Foundation. “Scholarship funding may be used to further a degree or obtain accreditation, as well as to purchase such things as books, study guides and exams.”

The Bruce Klockars Education Fund was established in 2011 by Flaget Memorial Hospital employees to honor Bruce Klockars for his 11 years of service as president of the hospital. The initiatives supported by the fund promote the development of enhanced caregiving, advance the practice of health care to the highest standards, and enable the hospital to continue recruiting and retaining the best and brightest personnel at every level.
